With a lot of teams loosing these playoffs due to being "out goalied," as well as the usual market, I think we are going to see quite a bit of interest in Hart this summer.

Way too much for Hart and for a goalie in general. They don’t historically return a lot, especially for a guy that’s been league average at best.

Hart’s young and had upside which would play in the Flyers favour. But anything more than a B+ prospect and playoff protected 1st round pick is too much.

Best offer I think Ottawa would give would be Järventie, 2024 1st round pick (top 12 protected), and a 2025 4th round pick.. otherwise it’s time to walk away.

I mean, you were 11th in the east. I'm of the opinion you won't pass 3 teams ahead of you

While I do feel that's a bit of an overpay for Hart, an overpay is what it will take to get a decent goalie for next season and OTT can't have goaltending be what fails them.
I'd say yes to this but attempt to swap out Jarventie for Lodin or Sokolov... if PHI holds strong just make the deal.

So this is the thing that NOBODY seems to understand...the FLyers have absolutely ZERO reason to move Hart for anything other than a big overpayment. And they will NOT move Hart this summer so everyone should stop.

Chychrun and Norris were practically missing from 90% of the games and we got below .900 team save percentage. Huge factors

It’s not an overpay. Hart would get over a .920 save percentage in Ottawa

Other teams above you (and behind you) had issues too and will also improve. I don't see it

You also had tkachuk, giroux, batherson, pinto, debrincat play all 82. Stutzle and Sanderson missed a combined 9 games too

All our young players will get better too. Batherson had a downyear as well because of his ankle still bothering him. Debrincat hit the post on a lot of open nets. They had a bad stretch in November that pretty much killed them. And also we’re right in it till the west coast trip where Sogaard was their only goalie and couldn’t save them

And maybe something that Flyers fans should understand.. when you’re rebuilding you trade your best pieces and often don’t get a huge return. Look at Toronto when they traded Kessel and Phaneuf. You trade in hopes of getting good prospects and picks to build through your system.

Goalies don’t get a huge return. Please find 1 goalie comparable trade in recent history that justifies Hart getting more than a B+ prospect (Järventie or Grieg) and a playoff protected 1st round pick. Keep in mind Hart has been barely a league average goalie during his NHL time. I’ll wait…

When you are rebuilding, you don't trade a 24 year old goalie that already has 5 seasons under his belt. Most goalies haven't even sniffed the NHL by 24 let alone played parts of 5 seasons. Where are people getting the info that he's on the block?

When your team hasn’t progressed at all since making him the full time starter in 5 seasons.. most goalies don’t get that much leash. The guy has a career .906sv%. So let’s not act like he’s an all star here. Freshly new rebuilding teams don’t have players who are off limits. Hart is available. Briere himself said that anyone is.

You aren't serious right? The Flyers have been one of the worst defensive teams on the league and the ONLY reason we weren't bottom 3 last year was because of how many games Hart stole. Briere didn't say everyone is available he said he has to answer the phone and listen on anyone or he wouldn't be doing his job. He also said that he expects Hart to be our goalie for a long time.

Details matter...

I like these trades but it’s being widely reported now that Flyers will only accept a deal for Provy that nets a 1st, a 2nd, a prospect (they won’t get that deal no chance lol) but I do think they at least get a 1st for him

I wouldn't mind depending on the pick and retention. Strong draft. Glad Briere seems clueful so far.

Hmm.. Flyers acquire a goalie. & now have 3, arguably 4 that could be on the roster next season. Who do you think they’ll trade to make roster spots available? 🤔

Here, I’ll give you a hint 😉
