I absolutely agree, I normally add Dvorak in these trades. Even if WPG didn't want to hold onto him, I would think they could flip him to CHI (he's an Illinois native) for even a mid round pick.

Those trades as is... Deal and Deal from WPG's side. WPG could lose Dubois for nothing since every team knows he's going to MTL in a year. Helly won't be sticking around either, because he believes Jets Mgmt as much as we do... which is NOT at all. The WPG / BUF deal is great for WPG.

I think it would e a little rich for the Sabres, I also don't think they would be interested in Stanley. My guess would be to remove one of Krebs or Mitts and remove Stanley and that would be a good frame work for the deal.

Agreed. That's why I said it's Great for WPG. Remove Mitt and Stanley and it becomes... maybe. The Jets will be lucky to get an empty bucket of chicken for Stanley.

If the Jets are trading Hellebuyck, they have to rebuild. So, I don't think a win-now piece like Mittlestadt would be interesting.

If the jets are only getting a late 1st for PLD, then I think the Jets ask for an impactful roster player or prospect coming back with it. A B/C prospect with the rest is a low end TDL return. That's easily beaten by multiple teams.

Should really grab Dvorak, I'm in the minority but he'd be a decent middle six center, hell I'd entertain getting Dvorak and Armia but I'm a big Armia fan so I'm biased in that regard BUT even with his down year he'd be a big improvement over much of the current junk in the Jets bottom six!

NJ isn't trading Nemec, Hamilton isn't getting moved and has trade protection, are the Devils moving Marino already? Seems unlikely so don't think they really line up all that well if getting a RHD for Helle is the Jets priority.

For me, it’s all about those firsts, if that Buffalo trade comes with that Buffalo first and not costing the jets first, and also a Florida first. Don’t overly care about the prospects or the cap dumps. Does this come with a scheifele extension or is that a deadline decision

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against acquiring Dvorak and slotting him in that 2C spot (most of my Jets AC-GM's do this), I just went a different route for this one. Acquiring Mittelstadt & Krebs in this scenario is why I did not include him.

There will definitely be teams interested in Hellebuyck, but I kind of doubt that BUF will be one of them. They really like their young guy Levi in the long term, and based on what he showed at the end of last season he may get a solid number of games this year.

I'll be honest, I sort of forgot about Levi lol...I agree BUF may not be the top choice here.
