Drai is the most valuable asset in the league rn. Outplayed the best player in the league in the playoffs, is a great leader, battles through injury and is only at 8.5 million. Drai would cost more than anyone rn.

I don't think so....Necas is younger and cheaper, so it gives Oilers some flexibility....I don't think you want to trade Draisaitl and reduce available cap.

Kotchetkov is the future and needs more playing time to become the #1....just need a bridge, and when Anderson is on, he's still very good.......for the money

Necas isn't even in Draisaitls league, One is barely a 70 point scorer while the other is a 100+ scorer. If Draisaitl were made available other teams with better picks and prospects would easily beat this offer.

So, other than the fact Leon Draisaitl is genuinely one of the worst defensive players in the league and would be firmly locked on the fourth line under Rod because Rod, this is not worth it. Draisaitl had 30 more points than Necas but also makes 3x as much. Necas is a lot younger and Draisaitl doesn't have Necas' speed. I wouldn't be moving Necas for Draisaitl right now. Jarvis? I could see the argument. Not Necas after this season.

Its just injuries, should've grabbed a guy like Nyquist at the deadline and parked him on LTIR till the playoffs started.
