Description
Now I’ll be the first to admit I don’t see how the Islanders let Sorokin get to UFA. But we can definitely make it work if he does.

Sharangovich seems like Kurashev with extra steps. Not interested in a guy like that right now.

NJD might be able to get a 3rd for him but I doubt CHI would be the buyer.

Agree....only way I consider this is if you could sign him for some term (3-4 years) at a rational rate (2.5 per year) where you take a gamble on him overperforming his contract the last year or two. My guess is he wants 4 per based on his 46 point season and goes to arbitration to get there and you are dealing with a contract again next Summer.

And the Hawk 3rd might be a bit much too.

Montreal is already likely to start the season with 3 goaltenders, and Vanecek isn't really worth complicating that even more. Habs pass.

That’s my thought process, Shara fetches a 3rd from somebody. Maybe not Chicago, but someone bites

This would be a theoretical trade after the 23/24 season. But again, just sending the value of what I believe he would fetch. Doesn’t necessarily have to be Montreal.

I don’t think sharks look at Blackwood for free if he is not qualified, much less pay a 5th for his rights.
Just go ahead and make the cup and hand us the 24 1st please.

Sorry bud. Not making cup this year, that’s gonna be a 2nd and you’re gonna have to like it. Tried telling you for months what the framework of the Timo trade was going to be. Y’all laughed at me, and I ended up getting the framework right. Enjoy what little we actually gave you!

This depth does not win a cup. Lazar is a scratch at best. Put Haula at 3C and put Boqvist or Gritsyuk in the regular lineup.

Tweak the bottom 6 however you’d like. Point is, not much work to be done to get us where we wanna go. Thinking either way we fall short with Vitek or Schmid in ‘24 playoffs. Then we’re just sitting ready for either Sorokin/Helleybuck in ‘24 off-season.

Sharangovich is a natural center playing on the wing. His strength are his wrist shot (quick release and accurate) and his transition defending (good on PK, and great with his stick defensively). He has 53 goals in last three years (to Kurashev’s 23). And doesn’t play any Power Play.

Not sure how he is viewed elsewhere, but the hope in NJ is that he becomes a 20-20-40 defensive 3C.

Probably a little different player that Kurashev.
