Lmao 100% no. Hextall is gone, nobody on this planet is paying a 1st and a 3rd for Alex Iafallo.

Pens say no. Would utilize the 2023 1st rounder on bigger needs.

I'm starting to see a major spit in your fanbase when it comes to Turcotte. Some of yall see him as the price to move Peterson while some of yall aren't ready to give up on him.

From the Hawks standpoint, I think this offer is accepted.

We're not trading a perfectly good second-pairing RhD for an over-the-horizon first. The only excuse for trading him would be to get immediate help either in the form of a top-40 2023 draft pick or a viable #2LhD.

Alex Iafallo for a 2023 first in the last quarter of the round is conceivable, even if we have to give something back, but we're not getting the 14th overall, let alone more.

I would have to disagree. Turcotte as much as I like him, represents a considerable risk and KD has shown a penchant for using his own picks rather than resurrecting a former 1st round pick.

In saying that, Turcotte would likely have the best opportunity he could get playing for this hawks team and being from the region it makes sense. I don't feel like the league should be valuing him at the price LAK should currently and there is a chance he doesn't pan out this year and LAK look to get what they can for him. At least the picks we could receive, CHI would have control over their development from a much earlier phase.

Adding to that, I think LAK bringing him up from College after a year was probably a mistake but at the time I'm sure it didn't seem like it was the wrong thing to do.

I think bringing him home (the guy grew up a few miles away from Chicago) and a change of scenery might do him some good. I see him as a really solid piece that has the potential to be a part of the next core if he can put things together. I doubt LAK moves a pick to unload Peterson except for maybe something in the 4th-7th round range.

I get the allure, but he alone is not worth an $8-11M salary dump. Look at it this way, we don't need to give LA anything to get him, not even cap relief. If he eventually works out at the pro level and wants to come home, he or LA's depth will probably do all the work for us. Because there is no possible way they can keep ALL of the players they have in their system. They have high end natural centers playing in the bottom 6 and on the wings because of their depth. Something will have to give sooner or later, guys will start pricing themselves out and/or making other players expendable as they establish themselves.

I wouldnt trade a 1st that could possibly be top 5 (The flames stink) for a guy that isnt a mega upgrade on who we have. Barron and Mailloux will take the top 4 and top 6 spots and the Habs need that top 2 guy to play with Hutson. Durzi is nowhere near that guy. Cant defend for his life
