I'm not sure it'll take THAT much. Kyle Davidson's track record is a 2nd round pick. That should do it for Bailey. If they want Foo...ok, but keep Salo and the 4th. Just send the 2023 2nd.

If 1.25 years of Nikita Zaitsev's $4.5M AAV only cost a 2 & a 4, I'm not sure why 1 year of Bailey at $500K more would cost that much more. I think it's much more likely the Isles just buy him out this summer and only knock of $2.3M this year instead of the full $5M, especially if the cost is going to be that high to move him.

I’ve seen this comment a few times now, and I don’t get it. What stunts did JPG pull? Are you talking about the slash on Turbo? I don’t think that was as bad as it looked, think Rod made it worse based on the injury and the emotions.

I would take JGP (and I think Rod would too) if the price was right.

I would certainly not do it from Calgarys POV, but with their tight cap-situation and the inlated winger-market in the league I think he could be moved for something similar, even it it would be very dumb.

That Guddy contract was brutal from day 1. It's amazing what draft position and 1 decent season at age 30 can get you on the market. I was pretty confident he would have stayed in Calgary on a team friendly deal last summer just because he finally got success there
