A rebuilding Hawks are not trading draft picks for someone like Boesser, much less a 1st.

Hawks obviously decline. Why would a team just starting a rebuild make this trade?

A ridiculous scenario. You expect any team to give up that three picks for 6.6m, two years of Boesner. Then with the the cap you saved you signed Rodriques who had 15 points less than Boesner to a 4m X 4 deal. Hawks would a thousand times better off signing Rodriques, and another have 2.6m and the three picks than two years of Boesner. Think you do.

To what end purpose?....win a couple more games, still miss the playoffs and instead of likely picking in the top 5 of the draft maybe put yourself in that 6-12 range where you are most likely only getting a good player as opposed to having a better chance at topline elite talent. Hawks need guys like Pettersson and Hughes who most often come from top 5ish picks. Guys like Brock Boesser on a team as bad as the Hawks help you win a few meaningless games accomplishing nothing but hurting your draft positioning and will be long gone before the Hawks have any chance of competing for anything. I'll keep the picks where that Tampa pick is probably in the range where Boesser got drafted and hope to have our very own Boesseresque guy still on an ELC when that player can play with the 2 or hopefully 3 elite players, we add at the top of the next 3 drafts.

AGM is the least realistic place. I can't even count how many times group think decides on a specific trade, only for the real team doing something completely different. TBL traded their entire draft year for Jeannot and NOBODY here saw it coming.

you know better than that, Boeser is at best a 30 goal scorer and Debrincat is a 40 goal scorer, I think that at best he would go for a 1st and 3rd, not a pair of 2nds, and yes there are some realistic trades, but lets keep it to somewhat realistic ones

Instead of wasting 6.6m on two years of Boesner, and using the picks wouldn't the Hawks be infinitely better, signing UFA Compher to 5.25m contract. For a second offer they could offer sheet up to 4.3m which costs a second rounder, Miller, Swayman or LAF are examples.
