Before the playoffs random forum or media chat ends up naming the top 10 players at their position, etc. it’s fun.

For wingers, I think a lot of people would put Kaprisov and Robertson in the top 10.

Kaprisov was logging over 23 min a game a few games, with game 2 as the only one under 20. For that much ice he drove play, def came out on the wrong side of puck luck, but while Robertson was above a point a game for the series, Kirill was only able to notch 1 goal and 0 assists over the series.

For me he’s maybe still a top 10 winger, but if you’re going to take a massive share of the valuable offensive zone ice, you have to do more than that. Oettinger was outstanding, Dallas’ team play was outstanding, but you gotta find a way to exert your will despite excellent opposition if you’re in the category of top 10 best. A lot of the series was “close until it wasn’t”, and just one goal here or there changes a bit.

Small sample size is what it is as elimination is coming in 7 games or less, and the performance during those 7 games is the only measuring stick.

Also my bracket is totally trashed, will never speak of it again. So close to nailing 5 out of the 8 series to the game with 7/8 correct. But this result kills it as my winner of this series is able to win the next. Always next year.

Huberdeau. He’s overrated but I’m confident he can bounce back and be an average 1st liner. Horvat has always sucked at 5v5 until he went on a shooting bender this season

I mean the Islanders turned Reinhart into Barzal. If you follow the logic they should be able to turn Dobson into a fortune if the prices are linear.

I would happily offer a first and a second for this Islanders' defenceman.

They were implying that Dobson’s impact is no better than Reinhardts.

Only way he is traded is if a team overpays to the point where they can’t pass it up. Would think it would take at least two 1sts and a very good prospect/young player

What’s the difference between Bouchard and Dobson.

Bouchard has been better both offensively and defensively this season, however he does get to play with elite players whereas Dobson plays with the ghost of No Scorevat. I think Dobson is more known to be a 2 way guy, whereas Bouchard is mainly offensive + PP QB

Dobson has that reputation from juniors, but Bouchard is the one who is actually the two way D . Dobson is mainly offensive + offensive QB. Still time for him to improve his defensive game but the last 2 years he’s struggled to defend the rush which is weird because he’s a very good skater with above average hockey IQ
