Take out Armia and Dvorak, the Jets consider it. You really over estimate the value of Edmundson.

Go pawn the Hoff off on Chicago, we don't want him near our locker room.

Not a chance that deal works for Winnipeg. Its all garbage and no quality outside of the first.

Take out Armia, he's an outright cap dump or add another 23 first to dump him on the Jets.

Take or Dvorak. He's injured, overpaid and has negative value to Winnipeg. Replace him with Beck.

Tuch has no value to Winnipeg. Change him to Roy.

A trade needs to be beneficial to both teams. So offering a first and a couple worthless or negative value players for a player that would be your best player by far, simply isn't slightly realistic.

Edmundson is a last-resort type of option for Los Angeles. And even then, we won't be trading Helge Grans for him. I doubt that any team will give you a second for Edmundson in the summer, but you might get a second for him at the deadline, depending upon contenders' needs.

Guessing jets keep Dubois and lose him for nothing if they get 5 year extensions done on helly and scheifele this summer, if those two decide something different, Dubois sold also. Guessing it’s an all in sort of push year, or random sales from draft to before camp to deadline. Jets seem to love their loyalty contracts so I’m guessing a couple contracts sitting in chevys desk, so the off-season pretty much comes down to helly and scheifele decisions.

As Howie likes to say when ever I say no chance Montreal does something. This is a website that is run on speculation and possibilities, just cause you don't agree with the offer doesn't mean it is less likely to happen than anything you want to happen. It's all opinion and speculation so don't just shoot down other people's opinions cause you don't like them!

BTW, it just as unlikely that Montreal would give up 3 of their top 10 prospects (assuming whoever they pick with the Cats pick becomes one of their top 10 prospects) for a guy who they have a good chance of signing a year later.

I stopped even acknowledging him after he badly judged the Laine trade and didnt even scoff at his own bias and take any accountability, he's too laughably unreasonable to be a real person.

There are maybe about 10-15 people on average that view these threads. This is is a really small community, dont give him attention, he clearly doesnt know how to argue and likes to live in an echo chamber otherwise he'd be able to understand other points of view. The most successful people in life are the ones who listen and learn from others mistakes. its impossible to know everything and be the best in all fields so you master communication skills and build relationships to use others skills and research what you need only. This guy doesnt even grasp any other opinion but his own which almost surely means he is a very unsuccesssful person in life or a troll that is very bored.

Jets fans have a short memory. They don't remember the Trouba situation in 2019. He wanted out of WPG to play for one team only, the NYR. They ended up trading him for a late 1st and a young top 4 D. I think the situation is the same. If Dubois really wants to play for MTL only, then a late 1st and a good young player should be enough. My guess would be FLA 2023 1st and Beck, or CGY 2024 1st and Barron.

    Literal delusion
also when you claimed Josh anderson was on a 30 goal pace, the delusional thought that Dvorak and Monahan would be worth 1sts, your edmundson proposals, or this delusion

When he was traded, he was a 25 years old 6'3 top pairing RHD on a 50 points season. His value was very high, probably as high as Dubois.

You'll probably be rid of him now. I destroyed one of his feeble super biased "rebuttals" a little while back and he resorted to whining and personal attacks.

Since then though I haven't heard or seen him, he learned that his fan boy antics don't do well in logical, unbiased discussions.

Analytics don't favor this kind of players. But he was given an 8M X 8 years contract right after the trade. I think it shows how good he was considered.

It limits your market when i'd imagine (and honestly hope) that a significant amount of teams (specifically contenders who are more likely to be analytically inclined don't want you bc you aren't an effective hockey player. I also think winnipeg viewed Pionk pretty highly

Trouba probably could have signed for close to 9M with another team if NYR gave him 8M even after he said he wanted to play for them only.

Dubois will probably sign for between 8M and 9M too. PLD and Trouba value are close, both trade wise and contract wise. Situation is the same too.

Even the involved parties are the same. Cheveldayoff was and still is Jets GM. Gorton was GM for the NYR in 2019, and he's now Habs president.

Most Habs fans want to wait for PLD to hit FA to get him for free. Most Jets fans want full value for him. I personally think we got a Trouba 2.0 situation.

Trouba probably could have signed for close to 9M with another team if NYR gave him 8M even after he said he wanted to play for them only.

Dubois will probably sign for between 8M and 9M too. PLD and Trouba value are close, both trade wise and contract wise. Situation is the same too.

I expect PLD to be traded to a contender and him to resign there. I fully believe he doesn't want to resign in winnipeg, but I do not believe his only acceptable team is an awful montreal team.
