actually trading bedard

Description
would be so stupid to do so but if any team has the argument for it it's washington, theoretically you could get such a haul that they could continue to be actual cup contenders for the rest of ovi's contract.

It would require a team with current actually good players to move up to #2 as well, so some potential candidates:

BUF

Honestly don't think anyone else has enough

If you think that this is too much to give up, think of the difference between Bedard and Fantilli as the difference between McDavid and Eichel

    Canucks much rather have Pettersson and Fantilli than just Bedard. It isn’t worth it for Vancouver. Rather have 2 franchise centers than one Bedard

    the only one that kinda makes sense value wise is the one with VAN, but as a Canucks fan I would not accept, Michkov is the 2nd best prospect in this year's draft and I'd rather have him playing alongside Elias Pettersson than have Bedard and Kuzentsov on a terrible contract. I'm a Vancouver native and want Bedard more than anything but I'm not willing to gamble Elias Pettersson.

    Canucks decline. The difference between Pettersson and Kuznetsov is a lot bigger than the difference between Bedard and Fantilli.

    Yeah the blues don't do this deal. I'm not trading the 2nd overall plus Thomas and Buch for Bedard. That makes our team so much worse now and in the future

    Consider me confused. But if it’s meaning trading Fantilli + Thomas + Buch for Bedard + Mantha + Kuznetsov, I’m not sure that makes us any better at all. After pick 4 or so the story is much different.

    I think this year it is pretty easy, Bedard is the best prospect since McDavid. Fantilli, Michkov, Carlsson are all really good too and likely would've gone 1oa each of the past 3 years, but Bedard is just on a different level.

    Would VGK trade Eichel + Karlsson + Theodore for McDavid + RNH + Ceci? I would, that is how I tried to think of these trades. People really underestimating how good Bedard is imo

    Well yeah. There’s no risk with mcdavid. We know what he is. We don’t know what Bedard is yet. What if it were a young Matthews instead of McDavid? Or a young Mackinnon? Lafreniere was a can’t miss guy too. I’m not saying or even trying to imply Bedard could bust. It’s just there’s a broad range and picking McDavid who is by far the most gifted player in the league is pretty optimistic.

    Bedard isn't McDavid. And for some reason buffalo is giving the most and taking back a dump.
