Purely a cap clearing move for LA. Let see what they do with it.

Similar playing styles, but ZM is bigger and nastier, playoff depth wise LA improves.

My reasoning is if LA sent Lemieux down, he would had still count for 425k on the cap. If you send a 925k player down, it's zero.

I like the deal for the Flyers. MacEwen was a heart and soul guy but to get a 5th is good value and on top of that they got a UFA who is better imo, maybe a tryout for next season who knows

If it were an even swap for the players, I would call it a fair trade. The draft pick puts Philly over the top.
