What EDM needs is a defensive Dman who can lock things down

As today yes they tied the game 4-4 but then lost 6-5

We know they can score but that doesnt solve all the issues

Goaltending and Defense need fixing and the proposal ironically solves both worlds

If not they could try McCabe + Staylock

This was my knee-jerk reaction. The Oilers have been tied to Nyquist multiple times too so I'd be unsurprised to see a larger deal between both sides.

The more Columbus adds the more I can justify meeting their ridiculous ask for Gavrikov.

This was their ask in the event Barrie was traded. If Karlsson isn't happening until the summer at the earliest, then I think any positive addition on the Oilers' ass end is welcome.

There have been multiple reports throughout the year that McCabe won't waive for Edmonton. And Stalock getting another year to not play for the Oilers probably doesn't entice him to come here either. They already benched him for one year.
