If I were Johnson, I would not sign. He is already behind Power and Samuelsson, he`d be fighting for roster spot with Martinez and Bryson, while being on ELC or he can choose team that would give him ice time and more money. Easy decision. That roster spot may be only thing convincing him to sign.

He just has to show up to beat out Bryson. He needs to play in Rochester for awhile get up to speed and he’d probably like playing on second line with Power than third line shutdown. He played often on off side in uni but yes we need to sign him
