Timo trades that actually fit SJ needs

Description
These are trades that I would like for Timo should he be moved. Timo is a high end asset with team control. Don’t care about your “but his qualifying offer” Bull. He’s worth it. Look up any player card and it shows.

He didn’t score a goal in his first 9 games this season. Since then he has been on a .70 goals per game pace or a 57 goal pace over 82 games since.

He is really good at hockey

SJS
  1. Minten, Fraser
  2. Niemelä, Topi
  3. Choix de 1e ronde en 2023 (TOR)
Détails additionnels:
I don’t see Toronto being a realistic option for Timo, not sure they can afford him long term and sharks will try and maximize his return.

    SJS
    1. Jones, Zachary
    2. Othmann, Brennan
    3. Choix de 1e ronde en 2023 (NYR)
    Détails additionnels:
I don’t really see a trade that fits the sharks needs with the rangers that’s actually worth giving up Timo.

Maybe if a trade had Schneider or Chytil involved but I don’t see NYR moving either.

      Détails additionnels:
      Top 10 protected pick

Could be Savoie or Kulich as the prospect. Chose ostlund because he is the safest prospect of the three I think. Sharks are notoriously bad for developing players I chose the safe player.

Johnson is one of those players who may walk to ufa, would be useful for San Jose.

        Détails additionnels:
Has to be a high end player coming back, that 1st is likely very late.

Could be Nikishin; I’ve even seen Jarvis thrown out but I don’t see the canes giving him up and he doesn’t fit the sharks immediate needs.

          Détails additionnels:
I see many agm showing sharangovich going back but I don’t see how they move a young player when in a buying state.

Could be so many different high end pieces coming back (Holtz, Nemec, Casey, Muk)

No miles wood is not a high end piece so don’t even start there. Neither is Bahl or Boqvist or Walsh

            Détails additionnels:
I don’t think San Jose would be interested in Dufour. He’s an undersized winger which they already have a ton of. Center is what they need.

Canes aren’t moving Morrow. Nikishin, maybe, but doubt he gets moved. With Nikishin’s ceiling, make it 2023 first, Nikishin, and someone like Suzuki for Meier half retained

If I were Sharks, and they got these offers, I'd order them:

                1. NJD: Blackwood, Holtz, Mukhamadullin, 1st

                2. WPG: Heinola, McGroarty, 1st
                3. NYR: Jones, Othmann, 1st

                4. TOR: Minten, Niemelä, 1st
                5. CAR: Morrow, 1st, 3rd
                6. BUF: Johnson, Östlund, 1st
                7. NYI: Räty, Salo, 1st

But as Devils fan, I don't see it

Sharks are not Notoriously bad at developing players! we've actually done fairly well, except D drafted int he 1st 2 rounds lol
and how is Dufour small? he's 6'2" 195! I know he isnt a highly touted prospect but if you watch him he plays a solid game and has upside.

I think all are good for each team except the toronto one, minten and niemala are quite good hockey players but I view mcgroarty, ostlund, raty, morrow, othmann, and holtz a much higher tier than them

Well that’s just it, if the best prospects the canes have aren’t up for being moved, with how late that pick is I don’t see them winning a trade for Meier. I don’t even know if they are interested in him, these are just the teams I see on here most often.

If I were Sharks, and they got these offers, I'd order them:

                1. NJD: Blackwood, Holtz, Mukhamadullin, 1st

                2. WPG: Heinola, McGroarty, 1st
                3. NYR: Jones, Othmann, 1st

                4. TOR: Minten, Niemelä, 1st
                5. CAR: Morrow, 1st, 3rd
                6. BUF: Johnson, Östlund, 1st
                7. NYI: Räty, Salo, 1st

But as Devils fan, I don't see it

I think the Jones, Othman one is too high on the list honestly. But I do see the devils trade being rich. Both the devils and rangers are supposedly interested in Meier and I wonder if they end up trying to outbid each other.

I'm trying to understand the OP with some of these values. I'll use the team I follow NJ and the NYRs since probably know them due to distance from NJ

                NJD: Blackwood, Holtz, Mukhamadullin, 1st
                NYR: Jones, Othmann, 1st

The 1sts cancel out, Holtz cancels out Othmam, Blackwood > Jones

I think the NJD deal is too much.
The NYR and WPG deals are probably close.
And each of the bottom-4 are worth asking for more.

                Just spit-balling counters...

                TOR: Knies, 1st

                BUF: Mittelstadt, Savoie, 1st

There is one thing every is leaving out of these Meier synopses. Since everyone will want to extend him, and San Jose will want the higher return of trading him with term, the biggest variable in determining his value are Meier’s wishes for his next deal. Where does he want to play? How big of contract? Money? Location? Cups?

For instance, if he says, “I will sign in Winnipeg for $5m but in New York for $10m”…the bids will be very different.

He gets his lists from talking to scouts, as opposed to being a writer who tries to pretend he is a scout (Wheeler). But really just one input and his is the most recent list of prospects.

I don’t think others would show that much of a difference. Maybe Othmann and Morrow higher.

For money purposes I’d actually think Chytil would be more likely to get moved than Othmann. But to put it into perspective the odds of either getting moved at the deadline are about 1 in 100.

LOL, I really like Pronman's list.
Seven of the top 52 are Sabres as well as 3 of the top 10.
I truly hope he is under rating Johnson (not ranked), Savoie and Levi (151st).
Savoie make no sense to rank him at 81st

                Puck skills: NHL average
                Hockey sense: Above NHL average
                Compete: Above NHL average

None of these look like our real needs. Taking more assets instead of the best assets is a bad plan, but maybe what Grier will do.

Buffalo has so many good pieces, same with New Jersey, and it really could be any of their prospects. But after the trades Grier has been making, I’m afraid for a Timo trade to be nothing but depth scraps and a 1st. I’d love peterka but I highly doubt they move him.

For money purposes I’d actually think Chytil would be more likely to get moved than Othmann. But to put it into perspective the odds of either getting moved at the deadline are about 1 in 100.

Fair enough, that’s why I don’t really see a Timo trade between the two even though they have had rumblings recently. But I’ve also heard Philly thrown out which is odd so who knows.
