Sorry, but I don't see Caufield move out of MTL. Habs GM will sign him long term to keep his rights in MTL for a long time, most likely at the terms you provided 8M$/8 yrs.

The First pick of 2023 and the current prospect list (even if they potentially become top six at some point) can't match up what Caufield has given at this time to MTL and the fan base. As good as the 2023 draft seems to be going, the NJD pick will be way too high.

It's a good deal for most top line players.. But Cole is probably the "new hope" Habs fans have been waiting for. Just having him out for the rest of the season is making people freak out.. LOL!

Pretty sure Suzuki, Caufield, and Guhle are on the "No Trades" list.

As for Xhekaj no team would be willing to make an offer that would match his real fair market value.

Is Holtz not supposed to be a top line shooting winger just like Caufield?

If you want to get caufield and Xhekaj who are considered untouchable and part of the future for a rebuilding team you'll have to send way better pieces than this (starts with nemec)
