There IS a scenario in which I could see us doing this deal: IF the most-highly-rated LhD were projected at the Ottawa pick level (12th overall or earlier), I would pull the trigger on this one.

Bottom feeder teams are going to have no issue reaching the floor next year so explain to me what their incentive is for helping Ottawa. In the case of Anaheim assuming both Terry and Zegras get contracts around 8M that puts them at ~56M and 14 players under contract. The cap floor will be about 62M so with just filling the last 9 roster slots they can easily reach the floor
