If they add Meier they are hundred percent breaking up top line. Also, Skinner has been struggling last couple games and needs a wake up call this will only help. Trading olofsson has no bearing on being a buyer and he will no longer fit our team with the addition of Meier. Same thing can be said about joker.
Sabres are a couple players away from being one of the top teams in the league. They can get some playoff experience this year then figure out the goalie situation in the off season.

I would offer up a 1st+ to Boston for Swayman. With Ullmark being a Vesina caliber goalire they might be willing to move Swayman.

Skinner has been struggling last couple games. Meier will only make that line better and skinner can help the second or third line. If it doesnt work can have Meier carry the second line with cozens and Quinn. But you would be crazy not to try Meier on that top line.

1.) UPL has been playing great and we need to see what we have in him.
2.) that is alot to give up when we have two great goalie prospects in college.
3.) It is a division rival they will have to overpay.
4.) I think goalie stats in boston are inflated playing on great defensive team. I dont think Ullmark is top 10 goalie on any team other then Boston. Same can be said about Swayman and his stats are not even that good.

that's not how it works lol. adding more players doesn't equal success, look at the ducks, for example, they added a good amount to their team and they're worse than last season.

The Canadiens rank last in the league in powerplay percentage despite having one of the best snipers in the game in Cole caufield. Columbus ranks 30th despite having Gaudreau and Laine. Olofsson isn’t going to do anything for the isles

CHI probably accepts... at least it's probably there value-wise. But @OldNYIFan is correct, BUF would probably be better off using another player in that trade for Murphy, letting Johnson become a free agent, and then collecting the 2nd round pick.

Skinner is on pace for 90 points and has 14 pts in his last 10 games. Olofsson has 15 goals and 20 points, he's much more of a fit than Mittlestadt, who has not been playing center since they added Jost, because he couldn't cut it there

Hawks wouldn't want Ryan Johnson in a Murphy trade. They are loaded w/ left shot D prospects already. Replace Johnson w/ a F prospect like Bloom or Ostlund and Hawks probably accept.

This. I think if they retain on Olofsson he'd have a crazy amount of value to a contender, rebuilding, or limbo team. Additional 50% retention next year from the team who gets him can more than recoup their value selling a $1.2/year 30 goal scorer, or keep a 30 goal scorer for $2.4/year
