Why? Blackwood's QO is 3.36 mil.

All this deal does is save NJ 1.9 mil and gets a lateral move at their backup spot. We're not in need of a potential starter.

Just having a little fun...that was the line that some random podcaster said about Devils GM Fitzgerald going after Anderson that many bought into. "Fitz wants Anderson badly...probably won't offer Jack Hughes or Nico Hischier but have Luke Hughes, Alex Holtz and Simon Holtz to trade...whichever it will be Devils want him badly". The report has since been discredited.

I wouldn't consider moving Holtz until summer of 2024 at the earliest.
He is 20 years old. He has 2.5 more years of ELC. He is a 13F, 14F on this team.
Be patient.

Also, Keller doesn't really fit what Fitzgerald is looking for. He doesn't want "more of the same" (his words).
We have plenty of speedy, skilled, transition, possession type forwards.
We need someone to play on the interior...a greasy goal specialist...someone who can play net-front.
