the trades are bad enough, but woof those signings are even worse. Domi is an empty calorie scorer who cant even score at a 3rd line pace unless he's shooting 150% his career average and getting top line ice time and 1st unit power play time, which he wouldnt get in toronto and Klingberg is utterly utterly washed. He's not even better than Justin Holl at anything but offence and that's almost a wash at this point too, throw in that he's much much much worse defensively.

This is definitely a "whatever troll nations says about the Leafs is the truth" post. Everyone on here knows 2 things for sure.

The Leafs suck Defensively and need an upgrade they have allowed more goals per game than 90% of the league.....while being 3rd best defensively right now.

Domi is exactly what TO needs! He isn't anything TO needs, he's a defensive liability who scores a little more than Kerfoot but will cause way more goals against which is now how TO plays. He isn't tough, he's sucker punched a few guys and is dirty sure but he doesn't hit, Kerfoot again, hits a lot more than he does.

Anyone who knows the team knows this is just cliche nonsense.

What an imagination with this signings. Leafs don't have the cap or desire for them.
Now I do somewhat understand the Domi trade, though I don't think the Leafs should do it.
Holl is playing better than Klingberg or just as well. That is one terrible trade for the Leafs. Fact: Top 4 pay for a Dman does not mean his value on the ice is worthy of top 4 minutes.

Not only are you overpaying for Klingberg, but if you ever actually watched him play defense in the Leafs sweater with 1st pairing usage there's a 76% chance you would have a stroke within his first period of play for the team. He'd make Rielly look like Larry Robinson.

A buddy of mine, had friend who played Junior A with Robinson. He said he was just a great guy and wonderful teammate.
