Binnington the goalie has his ups and downs like 99% of goalies. He definitely hasn't been the biggest culprit of the early perils of this season - he's actually been pretty good. His sideshow antics are dumb but it's the only way he knows how to act when things don't go his way.

As for the trade, there are 2 goalies in the world that I would give up 3 1sts worth of value for, and neither is Carter Hart.

If I’m Fletcher, I pull the trigger on this trade. PHI isn’t anywhere near ready to compete if Hart is the real deal. These prospects and pick would be better in line with their “compete window”

Ik Binnington doesn’t have great numbers but like… he’s been pretty good. Just look at all 5 goals in the kings game: 4 tap ins and an own goal. Theoretically he could be better because the elite goalies save 1/2 of those, but he’s been fine.
