-Minnesota has a ton of RFAs(including Matt Boldy) and only have $15M to play with this summer. I can't see them spending multiple high picks to burn $6M of that on Brock. Not saying the value isn't what Brock is worth, but I can't see it being the Wild (and fwiw Brock has a 16 team NTC so you have to assume he has some control over where he's going)
-No way this Pinto deal happens, for one of two possible reasons: either he's not going to keep shooting 38.5% and scoring at a 70 goal pace and winds up not being worth $7M, or he's going to turn the page into a legit 40-45 goal scorer and Ottawa doesn't move him for a middle-6 winger, a non-prospect, and a likely late-1st/2nd combo.
-Palmieri's NTC makes it hard to dump his deal, and Bailey's lack of production does the same. Don't think you can just wish those two guys away at this point without buying them out.
-JGP has more value than Palmieri or Bailey but I can't see the Canucks giving up the assets for him if they're going to be in a rebuild. Again, his NTC makes it a little harder to move too.
-Just move on dude. Toews is a fine player but this is a ton to give up for a guy you only have at that reasonable cap hit for one season. As it stands, you have about $23M in cap space for 2024-25, which sounds like a lot until you realize you have to re-sign or replace both your goalies, your LD2, and most of your bottom 6.
