So, let me get this straightened out because CF makes 3-way trades a little hard:
NYR gets: Kane (50% retained by CHI(1x$5.25M), then 50% retained by ARZ(1x$2.625M)), Keller (50% retained by AZ(6x$3.575M), then 50% retained by CHI (6x$1.7875M)
CHI gets: Ryder Korczak (projected as AHL/NHL depth at best), Jonny Brodzinski (29 year old depth C, not really an NHL option), Sammy Blais (26 year old pending UFA coming off a torn ACL), a likely late 2023 1st, a 2023 2nd, & a 2023 3rd.
ARZ gets: Tim Gettinger (24 year old LW, not a prospect at this point), Will Cuylle (decent prospect, middle-6 ceiling), Dylan Garand (lower tier prospect, backup goalie ceiling), plus a 2024 1st, 2024 2nd, and 2025 3rd.
Right off the bat, asking Arizona to retain 6x$3.575M(a total of $21.45M) is basically going to cost you at least one of those prospects, and that 1st - if not more. No one has ever retained that much for that long in the NHL, since salary retention became an option. Arizona is a cap floor team, and asking them to eat that much is going to cost a king's ransom, and beyond that, I don't see anyway that they give you Keller at full freight without including an actual A-tier prospect or roster player.
Chicago is also retaining nearly $11M over 6 years for you, plus an extra $5.25M this year, so again - more than half your package's value here would go towards that retention. You also literally have not given them anything useful for a rebuilding team here beyond a couple picks.
I know Corey Pronman has his detractors around here, but to use his rankings here - the only player from his top 10 that you're sending away here is Will Cuylle. Sending away a handful of non-prospects or lottery ticket prospects is not getting you two first line wingers, and that's before you get to the absolutely ridiculous retention you're asking rebuilding teams to do for you.
