Literally can't think of a bigger win win scenario for the Ducks or Klingberg. I just never assumed he would take a bridge deal since it was known he was looking for his coffin contract and I didn't think he would budge.

Also, no way Anaheim ships out a first in the next three years without lottery protection. Neither Anderson or Edmundsson fit our rebuild timeline. Ducks decline the hell out of this deal.

Plenty of time to tank after the trade deadline, just like last year. Also no reason to suspect we will be overall better than last year, having lost Rakell, Lindholm, Milano, Steel, and Manson. We will pump Klingberg's tires with his points total, say the +/- is due to being on the ducks and sell him high for 50% retention. Might move Shattenkirk, Grant, and Stolarz at the deadline for the same.

Games will be more exciting to watch this year, more goals on both sides of the ice.
