Man the Oilers are actually about to keep Kane, sign a bona-fide starter, and keep Puljujarvi what a miracle this offseason has been.

The CBA provides the recapture calculations. Following those calculations provides a $3.4M cap credit for #LetsGoOilers. By the NHL not allowing this credit, league-wide cap space is reduced by $3.4M. Would the NHLPA have something to say about that?

Something to keep an eye on with that recapture stuff. Apparently it's built into the CBA so unless each team wants to forfeit like $100k in cap space I think the Oilers might still get that credit.

Playing NHL games doesn’t make you an NHL calibre goalie. Do you consider Hutchinson an NHL goalie? Or David Ayres? Both of those guys should not be more than your #3 at this point in their careers. There’s definitely a need to rush when you have the roster of a contender but don’t even have a capable backup goalie, let alone a starter lol
