Jeannot is younger, cheaper, more physical, and had almost identical production last season to Eberle. I think you’d have to add a real significant piece to convince a team to get older and more expensive while not increasing production.

Kraken also like their defenders to DEFEND. A puck mover/PP guy would be great, but Barrie can't seem to hold that job with 2 of the most powerhouse teams in the league offensively. (Leafs and now Oilers) Not saying a Barrie trade is totally out of the question, but it will likely be "option C or D" for the Kraken, in my opinion. Francis will probably see what he can do in free agency, first off. I think Klingberg will definitely be a BIG target, and there are a few others I think might be available for half the salary who might be of greater interest than Barrie. And IF Seattle traded for Barrie and IF it somehow involved Soucy, Francis would want a better return, of that I am confident,
