I don't think many rational Leafs fans (of which I think we're dwindling) want to trade Muzzin. But I am sure Dubas is looking into many options, that one included. I just think it creates a big hole on our roster. I also think that unless they had a UFA signing lined up, they'd want to trade him for a player instead of picks. Vrana is someone who, if the Wings aren't convinced he's young enough to help in their rebuilding window, I could see the Leafs having some interest in.

Why would Detroit trade Vrana? He scores pretty much every time he plays. We're not the Montreal Expos. A feeder system for the NHL.

I don't think a Muzzin trade will happen with his clause, especially to Detroit. The leafs would also need to add if they wanted Vrana quite a bit. If Muzzin played a full season in the last few years he might have more value.

Sorry wasn't suggesting that was going to happen. Not too familiar with Detroit's roster. Merely stating if they're concerned he's a bit older than their core, they may look to move him.

Of course Leaf fans want to move Muzzin.....there are just better ways to spend 5.6m X 2 years. But he isn't waiving his NTC for Detroit, and no way would the Wings give up assets to acquire him.
