Wow say it louder for those in the back. Arizona will never take the Weber contract, and if they did Montreal would have to pay them a fortune to do it

There are much better options for all teams of they need cap. No one wants that burden for 4 more years.

Maybe I'm talking silly, but wouldn't it be "nice" if Arizona spent some money on hockey players, that are actually playing that these phoney LTIR deals. Ferland, Seabrook and Weber are easy deals for Arizona to take if they want. Those players don't affect the cap for their current teams so they would gladly give them away if Arizona asks.

You need money first if you want to spend it.
Arizona as been a moneypit for so many year, owner around the league are not thrill at all to have to pay each year because they can’t make a dime. And now they have to play in a 5000 seats arena who won’t even be able to exploited the shop and restaurants in the building. Arizona would love Weber contract for sure. I am pretty sure that the GM Armstrong had some directives from the owners and the league to have the lowest outcome possible.
Arizona could save 22 millions with Weber deal on that 4 years stretch. This is why Arizona was looking at this contract at the deadline and that they will pursue this summer.
Bettman is a clown and this have to stop. They need to move that franchise over to Houston or Kansas City where they will be able to put on a real team out there.

What better option?
Arizona would save over 22 millions in the 4 remaining season of that deal. For a team who haven’t made profit in more then 20 years that a lot of money especially if they play in a location 5000 seat building who won’t generate merchandise and food revenue since it’s own by the University.
Players association and owners around the league should stand up against Bettman who have been stubborn for too long. Houston have a building that could land a Nhl team. One of the biggest market in the state. Money will always be and issue in Arizona and that why they are in on Weber contract.

there owner is worth 14.5 billion I dont think they need to trade assets to save 4 million. Or Just sign anyone for 1 year and you literally save nothing
