I'd consider a Turcotte for Garland swap, but I wouldn't throw in an upgraded draft pick.

No he's not. The cup is what's important to Colorado not holding on to a prospect because he might be a top 4 dman in 3 years.

Not only that but acting like Girard is some sort of add on.

A 23rd yr old top pairing capable dman signed on a sweet heart deal for the next half decade for a guy that would be COL 5th best forward. Yeah hard pass, just keep Miller over pay him and been done with it.

yeah even worse, the isles are selling low on Beauvillier who has analytically been the isles best winger over the last 3 seasons.

Doesn't really matter either way for NYI as they'll likely be a dumpster fire for the next decade due to all of their long term commitments on declining veterans.

Hopefully Manson can be Colorado's saviour on the back end so they don't get bullied again in the playoffs.

This trade makes the islanders worse now and tin he future , that's a terrible argument.

you must be talking about the Canucks when it comes to contracts and declining vets. . The islanders top players are mostly young.

Yep and they will struggle to build around them because of the massive commitments made to Lee, Nelson, Bailey, Pageau, Palmieri. Lou already traded a Norris caliber dman away for pennies on the dollar because of the cap commitments they already have.

It will be a shame when Barzal walks like Tavares did.

Nelson has been a top 25 center in the league this season antears of joy , Lee is better than most of Vancouvers forwards this year. The only bad contract out of the ones you mentioned is Bailey, and there are teams interested in trading for him, he will be gone by the offseason.

Vancouver is about to lock up Miller and Horvat who are both worse than Lee and Nelson. Fortunately for the isles , Barzal isn't a UFA like Tavares was.

Good thing the Isles have another Norris caliber defenseman and two other top pair D on the roster. Your best RHD is Luke Schenn lol

You think someone will trade for Myers albatross contract or Hamonics and yet you're calling out Nelson and Lee who both provide excess value on their contracts..Talk about delusional.
