It's just to make the deal more inticing for Edmonton.

Kerfoot is a solid player, 43 points in 59 games with no PP time. Yes maybe he is not a goal scorer but he is a decent two way player, can play the wing or centre, and can play up and down the lineup.

Amirov has a brain tumour so I don't think he is going anywhere anytime soon

You do realize Mrazek the second he's moved is back to his regular .910-.922 SV percentage. Getting a Goalie who's arguably in his prime years and signed for under 4 million plus a sweeter for a 41 yr old (still a good goalie) is a steal for Buffalo

Maybe but a guy who says there are three pillars of being a goalie - technique, mental and physical and that Mrazek has had a breakdown in at least two - technique and mental - he thinks he could be fixed but it is no sure thing.

The Sabres have shown you in the last two games they have played against you that Mrázek is nothing special right now. Why in the hell would they want an expensive, bad goaltender? They tried that with Carter Hutton and I still find it funny that Toronto decided they wanted him. Mrázek is not the right guy to be a bridge mentor for Luukkonen. If Craig Anderson is done when this season is over (and now that he has 300 wins I think he is) they will find another cheap veteran back up to split games with Luukkonen and give him another veteran to learn from.

An RHD like Holl does nothing for the Islanders - Pulock & Dobson are clearly RD1/RD2, and even if you think Holl and Mayfield are basically equal, I'd rather stick with the guy who's been playing the system for his whole career. Doesn't make sense for the Islanders to attach a 5th to Chara to get Holl back, even with retention, unless another move has already been made with Mayfield.

@Sabresforlife "technique and mental" I think Mike Bales could help here.

Another fly just landed in the ointment.
First, that second could be a first.
With Anderson in net, he could make a huge difference for the Leafs.
Second, GK tend to rebound, I would take the second that could be a first and look for Mrázek to rebound.
If not, send him to Rochester.
Third, change the trade, add another pick. Then the second and the other pick become a first with the same conditions.
Fourth, @Boomer125 Mrázek could be Buffalo's best GK next year.
Fifth, @Tjm220 "Sabres tried that with Carter Hutton" Hutton was actually doing really well at the start of 2019-'20 until he went blind.
Remember he set a Sabre record with most saves to record a shut out.

I don't see him rebounding; he's never been good positionally and he gives up way to many rebounds.
