Justin Holl is at least as good as Ben Chiarot and is signed for another year. Even if you assume that there would be a modest upgrade from one to the other in Toronto's favor by this exchange, the cost (of not just one but two seconds) would be prohibitive. Factoring in the contract term, I think this swap would be a mistake if the Maple Leafs paid more than one third-round pick to make it.
