Breaking down the structure

Description
Hoffman will get shipped next FA for like a 2nd. Maybe Bruins overpaid but then again Anderson is damn effective when he his game is on. He was good last season and has a lethal shot and can easily score 25-30 goals while laying out bone crushing hits, fighting and has good speed aswell. I think he will be very Boston compatible

This is bad for every teams not called MTL (exept EDM-BOS)
Bos-Mtl doesn’t trade but MtL would never do that

Anderson also fits in the worst contracts in the league hence why the Bruins wouldn't take him and BOS/MTL don't trade together.

Anderson wishes he could be Taylor Hall after every practice and game. Also, I don't really compare forwards and defensemen but given their overall impact, Grzelcyk is also way better.

The day Anderson won’t play like a top 6 Power Forward maybe then he will be overpaid but right now, he is worth every penny. Don’t compare Taylor Hall and Josh Anderson lmao

Oh it’s not close. Well, that’s a stretch. He has one more goal than debrusk, a whipping boy on this website. Hall is miles better than him. Carlo and Grzelcyk bring a lot more to the game than he does. Just because he popped 17 goals in the crappy northern division last year doesn’t make me forget the one goal performance the year prior.

Not interested in the player with that contract. No thanks.

In a vacuum I like Anderson, even going back to his Columbus days, and I think that he could be a good fit with Boston. Having said that I don’t think that spending that kind of $ on him would be the best management of resources for the Bs. Also, the trade itself is a little much for me (especially if JD agreed to an extension during the process at which point it’s closer to a 1 for 1).

Minnesota says no to both deals. We aren't taking on Christian Dvorak whose not better than anything we have and aren't helping Montreal out of their mistakes. Cedric sucks and won't play in MIN

You're right, my mistake. It would be an insult to Hall and it's unfair for a 3rd liner like Anderson to compare him to a 1st liner.

You know what's crazy? If you look at DeBrusk career vs Anderson career, Anderson has outscored DeBrusk by a astounding 5 more points....but he's also played 69 more games laugh

You guys don’t know what a physical player is right ? A guy that can skate, shoot, hit, 6.3 225 lbs, there’s like 5 guys like that in the league. Wilson Landeskog Meier Tkachuk brother Anderson who else ?

You realize that Wilson is the only guy you listed that is at least 6'3/225lb right?

Landeskog - 6'1/215lb
Meier - 6'0/210lb
M. Tkachuk - 6'2/202lb
B. Tkachuk - 6'4/211lb

Your comment also has nothing to do with either post you quoted. All you're trying to is make it seem like he's some rare hard to find player, when in reality he isn't. Since joining MTL:

FF% - 49.2
SF% - 48.4
GF% - 41.3
SCF% - 49.3
HDCF% - 48.3

I guess that explains why he throws a lot of hits, the other team typically has possession when he's on the ice. What's even scarier is his sub 50% metrics are with starting nearly 60% of his zone starts in the offensive zone. He's an injury prone PWF that has cracked 30 points twice in his career.

He scores goals, hits and he is a difference maker on a game
Something he doesn’t produce, but he’s always there hitting and making is presence known. And yes, he is a rare type of player, name me a power forward like him who can skate and shoot. There’s a reason he got that contract even after coming up that 1 goal season

Such a difference maker that he's helped the habs to one of the worst records in the NHL. The contract he got was given to him by the same guy who paid a 1st & 2nd rounder for a 3C in Dvorak....oh and he was fired just a few months ago.

Is offseason was brutal + the Gallagher extension
Molson wanted the team to remain competitive so he tried is best to replace Danault by Dvorak, Tatar by Hoffman, Weber by Savard, Allen was fine to replace Price and Edmundson father past away so no one to replace Eddy. Kotkaniemi replaced by Poehling/Evans and that’s fine. But he didn’t considered Drouin Hoffman Anderson Caufield can’t play defensively and Dvorak isn’t close as good Danault was defensively. But Anderson contract is fine, you don’t see a single Habs fans wanting to trade him, he is a rare player that MTL didn’t have in YEARS. So the fault is on both Molson & Bergevin for that mess. It was clear that after our run we would be a bottom barrel team. You can’t lose Price Weber Edmundson Danault Tatar Kotkaniemi in one offseason and think you can remain competitive. With all those above MTL was an average team

Lol keep thinking Anderson is rare. I'm sure it's a great coping mechanism to deal with the dumpster fire that is the MTL organization right now.

If the Bruins were offered that for Anderson I would take it. His contract is not bad like some here think. 20+ goal scorer and Cap will go up. I liked him in Columbus, he can dominate a series and has. Shoulder injury set him back but when healthy he is good. People look at stats and do not really know how he plays. I was hoping the Bruins would trade for him a couple of years ago. Same with Buchnevich. Certain guys you can see their worth. Don't see Montreal making that trade though.
