Unless Fiala is extended at a friendly cap hit, you won’t get close to that value.

Fiala would be the 2nd highest scoring player on LA this season and is an automatic top 6 winger. I’m assuming the LA 1st is 20 or later considering how they’re playing right now.

The deal is contingent on Fiala signing an extension

That $14M in dead cap space for two years is unreal - the outlook after the first season is dicey and you're going to have a hell of a time re-signing your young guys if you hand Hertl that massive contract. Going to be very interested to see how Guerin handles the next two years; "cap hell" is a nice way of putting it.

They have those they need a right handed not a lefty

If this is how this off season was to play out, which is highly unlikely, Guerin would have about 10ms to sign all the RFAs to some 2 year bridge deals to get out of the “cap hell” and then once cap opens up he can sign them long term.

Fiala plays both RW and LW, most LA fans are saying they need a top 6 wing regardless of handedness.

Yeah, he might be able to make it work but $10M to sign 7 players is tough. Like I said, it will be interesting to see what he does.

I don’t think he will be re-signing any of the UFAs that year other than Dumba and I’d assume Dumba will take a team friendly deal, plus we got a ton of prospects on ELCs that should be ready to play by then.

He could sign one year as an RFA and leave. He needs to be signed by the wild for multiple years at a good cap hit to make a trade of that value. Not very realistic.

I signed him to an extension before I traded him, like I said, this deal would be on Fiala signing a long term extension.

No idea, I doubt he will be traded but considering the season he is having and how cheap his contract is I gotta imagine at least a late 1st or a good prospect and a 2nd.

Realistically? Him getting traded is about as likely as Guerin penciling in a player to be the 1C after playing 2 NHL games.

Flyers say absolutely not. No Need for talbot nor would the flyers welcome hartman back for a 1st even if hes worth it. It would show major weakness to chuck and he would be axed by the city.

Considering he played the corpse of Viktor Rask there for an entire season, I don’t think its that much of a stretch to put Rossi between Kaprizov and Zuccy. Why wouldn’t you? Gives him confidence playing with two star players and makes the trials and tribulations of being a rookie a lot easier than if he were playing with 3rd line players.

Guerin didn't play Boldy during the playoffs last year because he wanted him to earn his spot like he did starting out in Iowa this year. I'd be incredible surprised if he didn't have a backup plan in training camp in case he feels like Rossi should go to Iowa again, if for no reason than making him compete to earn his spot. Hartman has been fine between them, no real reason to think that won't be their center again barring some huge trade.

Edit: Rossi may very well end up as 1C if he comes in and shows he can handle it but it's much better for Rossi's development to start him on the third line and carefully monitor his minutes while he gets used to the NHL than to toss him in to the wolves for 20 minutes a night.
