I'm trying to wrap my head around the Studs for Boqvist swap. Did Boqvist request a trade or something bc in my mind Boqvist has more value than him at this point in time

If the Bruins trade Studnicka, it should be in a trade for a better player that can help now, not 1v1. Boqvist wouldn't really change much for Boston.
No, I just wanted to come up with something for each guy on list (stuck with one-for-ones since its simpler).
Boqvist was the closest match to Studnicka I could come up with.
Boqvist hasn't requested a trade or anything, but he is blocked in NJ.
In his first year, John Hynes kind of screwed him by trying to make him a 4th line grinder. Total mismatch. And he tended to float. He had proven all he needed to in SHL, AHL, so he ended up spending way too much time as healthy scratch.
Now...Hughes, Hischier, Mercer probably stay ahead of him on depth chart. And McLeod does 4C things he cannot. So Boqvist has been our 5C this season and not getting the playing time that he should be getting. He is very fast, plays with a ton of skill....and I have said for past year+ that he is without a doubt the best buy low guy on Devils.
Still waiver-exempt, so we'll probably keep him for now.
