Liljegren, Robertson, and a 2nd for a rental is probably not the best use of assets.

Domi retained for Kerfoot seems like a lateral move, especially after he was one of the best players from last year's playoff run. A 2nd seems excessive for a rental - I doubt he would stick around.

I don't see the appeal for Seattle to retain on Jarnkrok when they could probably sell him without retention to another team for more.

So next year you'll have 11 players signed and $66.8 million committed to the roster (including the $1 million you retained on Justin Holl for some reason), which leaves less than $15 million to allot among at least 11 players, one of whom will be Rasmus Sandin and another of whom will be a reasonable #1B goalie because we all know Mrazek isn't going to go the entire season uninjured.

I don't think that Toronto is the team that should be disposing of low-cost players like Dermott, Engvall, Holl, Liljegren and Robertson with that financial future staring the Maple Leafs in the face. Note that Dubas went to the trouble of disposing of Nick Ritchie's rather modest cap hit in return for two UFAs.

What's the attraction to the Leafs.
Kerfoot is better than Domi this year.
Klingberg is just a middling Dman this year who doesn't play the PK much.
The only attractive piece in those trades is Giordiano.
As suggested above, the Leafs need some of the cost efficient player in the futures, plus the picks, and not go into the summer missing five cost efficient players and and a years worth of drafts picks
