Think they can't trade that 2023 3rd right now, as it might belong to ARI.

The condition was that it's Arizona's choice. So that binds it to TOR until they make that decision. Doesn't make any sense that they could deal the pick away if it's under a condition.

Pretty sure the Sabres are trying to keep Pysyk,
he’s played pretty well for us
But a 3rd & 4th could be enough to pull him away from us

Tough to say though

There’s a chance that both he and Miller get traded, but I also think that one of them will be re-signed instead of traded. Pysyk has played better than Miller too, so while he may get more I think it’s more likely they want to keep him.

plus Mark seems to be an adult who understands the business side so the Sabres trading him to a contender towards the deadline doesn't exclude him playing for the Sabres next year, he made 900,000 this year so maybe a bump up to 1.25 mil for 1 year - he's a decent player and reports say he's been very good teammate to the younger players on the other hand he's not so good that losing him would be a crushing blow.

Exactly my thinking. Trade him at the deadline, resign him in free agency.

Miller would get a better return than Pysyk imo

True
But he’s also a guy that’s willing to play here right now
I doubt that’s the case for many UFAs that are any good

I could see that happening
But if he has a good playoffs, i could see him signing with a better team

I was really upset that Adams did not sign him last year when the team was actually thinking of competing.
Instead we sign Davidson and Irwin to bolster our defense for nearly the same as Mark signed to play for Dallas.
While Buffalo had 4 RHD (Ristolainen, Montour, Jokiharju, Miller), Pysyk was a swing man who actually played forward for Florida.
This year Pysyk has greatly exceeded my expectations.
If this was the offer, IMO Karmanos would accept it, then try to sign him during the off season but with a significant raise as he is Buffalo's best defender.
His ONSV% (on ice save percentage) 97.2 and his GA60 (Goals against per 60 minutes of TOI) 1.1 is the best among all Buffalo defensemen.
It would be interesting to see him paired with Dahlin next year.

He isn’t even getting paired with Dahlin THIS year
Why would it change next season?
