Ya, don't see Husso moving from the blues, would need to be 2 1st round picks. Will be cheaper in the offseason as the Blues would have time to sort out the backup position at that point, as they wont go into the playoffs without a backup goalie they trust.
Manson, same as above, as long as Anaheim is in the hunt cant see them selling for cheap.
Seattle might take that trade, the pick might need to be a 2nd.

Both Manson and Husso would be summertime moves - they're pending UFA's and their teams are currently sitting in playoff positions. Neither will be moved, but both might be able to be added in the summer for just money.

And unless Keith is done (doesn't sound like the case) I'm not sure the Seattle trade has much appeal for Edmonton. We'll see how ready Neimelainen and Broberg are, but they're the future on the left side along with Nurse, so I don't see Edmonton spending real assets on players who aren't going to be needed going forward.

Just re: Manson-I don't know that that's completely true. Verbeek said yesterday (Maybe it was the day before) that he has no intention of holding onto pending UFA's and seeing them walk if they can't get them extended by the deadline.

Blues won't trade Husso while they are in contention. All reports that I have seen have teams calling about Husso but the blues not moving their goalies. If the Blues drop out of contention then maybe the blues trade Husso

Honestly, I just can't see us holding on to a playoff spot. It's fun to watch, which is a nice change from the past couple of years, but unless the Kings or Flames poop the bed, it'll be pretty tough to make it. Plus, your Oilers are 6 pts back with 4 games in hand, so it really just depends on which version of the team comes out for the second half.

At the same time, Holland re-stated yesterday that he's not interested in trading futures for rentals unless the Oilers are solidly in a playoff spot come deadline. And he previously ruled out trading the 1st or a top prospect for a rental at all - it would have to be a player with term to make it worth it. So I'm not sure how realistic a Manson trade would be anyhow unless a 2nd + B prospect is enough for Anaheim.

Oh 100%. I mean, I think purely from an optics standpoint, you can't trade a Manson-Rakell-Lindholm to Edmonton (or another Pacific division team) without getting overpaid for them anyway, because if you do, and then they leap-frog you, that'd look prettttty foolish. I'm curious to see who else is on Manson's NTC, given that we heard already that the Leafs were on it (which is hilarious, given how many Manson to Toronto/WHY ARE YOU TRADING FOR MANSON, HE STINKS?! Leafs threads there has been here for the past few years )

A wild, completely illogical prediction: Hampus to Florida, Rakell to NYR, Manson stays, either because the return doesn't make sense, or because the NTC kinda screws them over.
