Banking on Jeff Petry bouncing back. This season is so hard to evaluate habs players. He had 40 points in 52 games last year and had 3-4 great season before then as well.
Hard to imagine he just completely fell off a cliff coincidentally at the same time the team has been struggling. There is most likely some kind of link between those two. I’d rather hold on to him and hope he can bounce back next year and there would be more of a market for him. There would be one less year on his contract by then so it’d be more manageable and maybe even cap goes up 1-2M over next 1-2 years giving teams more flexibility. But yea, no interest in just giving him away for the sake of clearing house
