That's a considerable overpay. Toffoli's own parents don't value him that much.

Toffoli is not worth 2 firsts, Max is 1 first with salary retained to a top 5 team(28-32 pick). plus Nashville could easily not make the playoffs so I doubt they give up a 1st in this scenario anyways.

He is worth closer to that package than a single 1st.

He ISNT a rental. He is on one of the best deals possible and is a career 82 game average 25 goal scorer who kills penalties. That is well over a single late 1st.

NSH shouldn't be trading a 1st this year (or next imo), and they shouldn't trade multiple picks for a UFA 4C

i like the toffoli deal, i think its too much for him but from what i've seen he probably would have teams offering the equivalent of 2 1sts

He's obviously not a rental but to say he's worth 2 first, one of which could be a top 15 pick is a bit out there, if MTL was able to get the max out of him it would be a teams Late 1st (25-32) and a B+ Prospect and that's if they can get a team to give up the MAX for toffoli, instead its likely a couple 2nd and b+ prospect.
