Very easy decline by the avs

Varly isn’t an upgrade over kuemper avs futures isn’t getting you girard

Kuemper -> Varly is a lateral move

Girard -> two 2nds + Bolduc isnt good value for the Avs and also doesnt make sense for a team trying to win now

If you call about Girard without mentioning Beauviller's name as the first piece going back to Colorado, chances are that phone call is ending real quick.

That is very lopsided in favor of the Isles. Call about Girard in the offseason if you really want him but be prepared to give up quite a bit more.

The conversation for Girard starts with Beauvillier. Easy pass for the Avs.

I don't even think there's a conversation the Avs would have about Girard.

I do think they would listen to a call about Girard for the right price. With Barron probably ready to make the leap next year and guys like Kadri and Bura likely moving on, they'll need more higher-end scoring talent that won't break the bank. And, ultimately, they're going to have make a choice between Girard and Toews. Now, they don't have to be in a rush to make those decisions but I don't beleive Girard is or should be untouchable.
