Doubt the Avs take on Gallagher or Savard’s contracts and don’t see them moving Girard unless it’s for a better/cheaper option

I cant see COL or many teams wanting Gallagher on that contract.

And I cant see COL taking on 4 older guys

I could see teams being interested in Gallagher: if he played with better forwards, he would still be a top 6 player who is a heart-and-soul leader. HOWEVER, I cannot see anyone taking on Gallagher's contract. They'll have to eat some of it.

If you can truly get a 1st for Chairot alone then this deal isn't worth it for MTL. Seperate those assets, sell them off individually and not for roster players, draft high for a couple years then move forward

COL would like a new leadership in the team with Gallagher even if his contract isn't that good. Chiarot is a good add up to the roster too. The problems in this trade is Savard and Kuemper.

COL don't need/want a Dman that can do th same job as other player they already have for 3,5M$ for too long.

How can COL aspire to the Cup if their first goalie is now Allen?

They take on bad contracts, older players, and they get worse in net, Allen is not a starter, and somehow in all this they still give up a 1st? My man that is just bad for the avs in every way possible
Savard sucks, Chiarot cant skate, cant pass, he cant break out of the zone, all he does is cross check and somehow montreal fans are making it sound like hes a stud playoff warrior. Gallagher contract it still bad with all his injuries.

Avs give up a top 4 D man (under control long term at a good cap hit) for a bottom pairing D man rental (Chairot) and an aging cap dump in Savard.

MON 1st rd pick doesnt help the Avs in a cup run this year.

savard's a bottom pair d. when the avs are healthy he'd be behind makar, toews, girard, byram, and ej. $3.5m for several more years to be the 6th best dman is a waste. chiarot's a nice piece but he wouldn't crack the top 4 and would slot in above ej meaning savard would now be the 7th d.

allen adds nothing until the avs give francouz a shot and let kuemper get some momentum.

gallagher's contract is simply to long. players that play his style age like milk, espcially when they are 5'9 and 180lbs.

to get a high end asset like girard habs have to offer something of value ,it's got to be suzuki or caufield.

chiarot does not play the style of game that fits the avs, he cant skate, cant pass, cant break out of his zone. He isnt having an awesome year offensively bc hes brekaing out, its bc he is benefiting from top PP time as a Dman bc every other Montreal dman who can QB a pp is either hurt or awful.

Hes almost tripled his PP time of all last season already tihs season and is the Habs ice time leader 5v5. He is getting played more than Makar is. You take down his ice time by half and take away all his PP time and his offensive spurt dries up really fast on a good team. He is a 3rd pairing Dman playing top pairing minutes on a bad team bc of circumstances , lets not try to make it sound like hes some stud.

You traded 4 guys all in their 30’s either injured or struggling, for a top pairing 23yr old dman signed long term and a #1 goalie. Bro this is so bad for the Avs that garbage is mad it is being referred to as garbage. Allen is a back up goalie period. Savard sucks and can’t skate and Chiarot is only marginally better, how does adding their old immobile asses make COL better? Awful with a capital A.
