You really think Trouba waives for Vancouver? That Minni trade? A NHL centre on a nice contract for THAT?

Man, you're starting to annoy me. First you don't understand how LTIR works. Now you think Trouba wouldn't waive to play in a top Canadian market even though he expressed willingness to do so in the past and was rumoured with Van before we got Myers? You're a funny guy.

A 1st, a decent prospect and a 3rd aren't enough for Eriksson Ek? I could see maybe a 2nd instead of the 3rd. But that's pretty much it. I mean, he's good, but I feel like he's on a similar level to Bo. Maybe slightly better, but still, not by that much. That's what I based my package off. For both NYR trades, I think Vancouver gets better value than they would get IRL for either player (with exception to Petey, I sold low for him but still think that is a ridiculously good package).

I don't watch the wild enough to know what his true value is. I know he was rated similarly to Bo in the past, so I made a package based on what I think we'd get for Bo.

Dude, c’mon. 🙄. Trouba is never playing for a Canadian market if he has any say in it…and he does. Lip service means nothing. Players say 💩to the press all the time they don’t really mean. It’s pablum. He has no desire to be in Canada regardless of what market it is.

His wife is a doctor in New York and needs to complete her residency.
I don't think its a knock against any other market.

And I think your return for EP should be a bit more and the cost for JEE would be more.

He would've only considered a Vancouver or a Toronto. Of course, being from Michigan gives us the Hughes connection, and having Boeser and Demmer on the team surely helps. Would I personally leave NY for VAN? **** NO. But, the fan in me wishes Trouba would, as getting him in return for JT is an immediate win in my books

I personally don't rate EP that highly. I think what we received for him is solid. Essentially three 1st rounders for him, and a former first overall pick at that! I'm gonna make another ACGM of other moves I'd consider (as there were a few variations I was playing with, I wanted to do the NYR route first!)

Well, you don't annoy me, but geez you seem be Jim Benning funny and knowledgable . Not knowing about NHL players. Trouba gave up long term security with the Jets so he could play in the US. What an illusion that e Trouba would play in Vancouver. And to suggest that Vancouver is a top Canadian (NHL) market currently. Now that is hilarious.

A top Canadian team is factored in by looking at the city as well. Recent on-ice performances aside, the fan base is passionate and the city is one of the best in North America. That is the only reason why a player like OEL would consider jumping ship from one rebuild to the next (inflated cap hit or not, a lot of teams would have wanted a guy like that on their team)

No it’s not, because that’s a crucial part of their team, and they get magic beans and an ok prospect in a position their deep enough in already, in return. Pettersson is better than lafreniere and is your franchise centre, you can get much more for him.

I think that is fairly close to what we'd get for Bo. The only thing I could see is it being maybe 2 firsts since Boston should be contending this year and next year. Apart from that, it seems reasonable?

idk about 2 firsts as bruins also need to work on their prospect pool but i could see bruins maybe throwing in clifton or lyle, both RHD cliffy is more gritty and has good speed where lyle is a larger dman 6'3 even though HDB says 6'0 all bruins sources have him listed as 6'2 - 6'3 but he possess more offensive traits id say lyle could maybe crack a top 4 spot one day but probably more likely to be a solid 3rd pair option

Keep dreaming if you are serious about the value of Joel Eriksson ek. He's also completely untouchable, and one of wild's franchise player. He's untouchable. Your value for him is a joke
