personally i would rather keep Kerfoot, did well last year in the playoffs and he provides center depth, if one of the bottom 2 centers go down he can help out,

Keep Kerfoot. I wouldn't trade Robinson for Kerfoot straight up, let alone giving you an additional 2 picks for him.
Based on ACGM reactions to Leaf's trades over the last 2 years, i think just about everyone else agrees. Nobody wants Kerfoot. He is overrated.

I wouldn't hate Mikheyev but he has no place on the current sharks roster. Maybe next year.

While I can see the value of moving Kerfoot:

hes one of very few "midlevel" salaries, (Leafs have alot of guys way at the bottom 750k-1.25mil and guys at 5mil or more)
at 3.5mil, his production is poor and hes overpaid
With the cap strapped club, barely able to have 20 skaters in a compressed schedule on a club with few waiver ineligible players, moving a 3.5mil salary allows them to have 21 skaters and the drop off from say kerfoot to amirov or abramov or brooks production wise isn't huge

BUT:
hes a nice 3rd line guy who can move up the lineup
hes still youngish
he has some value
At 3.5mil, if he can return to his 40pt days its worth while (but what teams have cap?)

Overall he makes the most sense to move based on his salary, but the idea that you'll return a good or equal player is not likely. I think you move him for maybe a mid round 2nd or a 4th liner and a 3rd. The lineup above is good, bringing in a rookie in robertson is a good move, (based on what they have) but kerfoot would probably be your best bet on that 3rd line for any offensive production and without him, I think you are looking at last year: minimal offense from your 3rd and 4th lines.

It's crazy to trade Kerfoot a dependable centre. 1 goal last season Kampf and unproven Brooks as 3C and 4C...that's too big of risk for the Leafs, especially if Tavares or Matthews are ever injured.

you need to relax.

just being honest. i know. it hurts.
i'd be the first to say texier and foudy are probably overrated on here. at least they still have some upside left, but it still remains to be seen if they grow into it.
Per my note above, Robinson has huge upside and started to grow into it latter part of last year, playing with speed, some grit/physicality (which is what the jackets need), and started to find his scoring touch.
For a team that needs centers, i would rather have Robinson (LW) than Kerfoot (C).
kerfoot though has probably peaked in regard to potential. you know what you have. he already got his change of scenery from colorado, and he has not shown any more than he had in Colorado.

Also it’s kinda telling that Columbus extended Robinson and chose to protect him in the expansion draft over Domi, who would be their 1st or 2nd line center. They would easily decline this trade.

Well said, Toronto is not in a good position to be moving Kerfoot right now since he is one of their few legitimate middle 6 guys that can be trusted to move into a top 6 roll in the result of an injury.
