Hertl is a top 25 center. There are a thousand stats to back that up if you know how to read them. I know its big boy reading and that can be hard but I have faith you can do it.

I think it was speculative. We missed the playoffs in 2015 for the first time in about 12 years which probably had Wilson interested in trading the future for present - luckily we didn't because we went to the finals the following season with Hertl having his breakout year and if he hadn't missed most of the Pens series we might have taken it to 7 games instead of 6...(sigh)

Kane has quite improved there. After 20 PIMS in his first 8 games he only had 22 in the next 48 games. Massive improvement and tied for 46th in the league and more than 1/4 of them we're against Vegas.

Pretty much right. I would argue for Gushchin in tier 2 but otherwise I don't have any quibbles. Sharks typically try to draft NHL'ers not necessarily stars or "elite" prospects. But they are pretty good at drafting NHL regulars. It's only in the last two years we've been able to source talent from the top two rounds, consistently.

We can't really afford to trade any of our goalies this year as none of the prospects are ready, i think all our UFA signings this summer are staying at least the full season.
