Why would Arizona claim Hutchinson?

Cause their 2 goalies are Hutton and Korenar, Hutch is better than both of them, and he gets paid less. Take Hutch and wait for a goalie to get injured later on in the season to flip for a pick. He's not good enough to steal games so it won't take away from their tanking.

He isn't really better. All three are about as bad and Arizona is tanking so they should keep the worst two in this case.

That would be why you want the goalie who is getting paid less.

For $25K, come on. Islanders could claim him if they don't sign another G before the camp.

I believe Hutchinson will get claimed, same as Gabriel, and Anderson. Engvall I think will be either in the lineup, or the 13th forward, same as Brooks. Menell will be the 7th defence man, unless they have someone else they want to try. If so, he may get claimed. I have no clue if Kase is still injured. If so, Engvall will be in, with Brooks as the 13th or the other way around.

The waiver claim fee is bigger than the 25 000$ difference if I'm not mistaken...

Outside of Engvall (they protect 23 players) whom will likely be among the 23....absolutely no one. theyre all trash.

Leafs dont have the cap space to hold a 23 man roster.

Every team is going through this process, it doesn't really make sense that everyone claims each others tweeners. I am sure there are going to be a few guy claimed. But everyone have their rosters set pretty much so it's not like these guys are going to go in and play regularly for other teams. If the teams that claim them don't use them and decide to send them down, they will have to go through waivers again and risk being lost. I don't think you can expect half of our guys being sent down getting claimed, that's ridiculous.
