No. Injuries will happen and some teams will be looking to replace goalies that underperform. There will be opportunities to move him, even if the return is negligible. He had one down season on a tough schedule. Not enough to be considered a cap dump.

Rask has very strongly and specifically said he is not done with hockey. Perhaps his recovery from surgery doesn’t go well, but it seems like you might be misinformed here.

He’s also said that he’ll only play for the bruins though.

Rask will only play for B’s (and even if the B’s didn’t bring him back and he wanted to play I can’t imagine he would want to go all the way to EDM) - DeBrusk deal is fair (prob overpay) but it doesn’t make sense for BOS.
