I still have a huge softspot for PK, and would love to see him back in MTL. I still think he's a good defenseman, just definitely not a top pairing one. Could thrive in a 3rd pairing role. And if it's only for one year on his retained contract, I think it'd be a good move.

It has been revealed by LeBron that Price has a knee injury and is likely to miss the first month of the season. So unlikely Seattle takes hi. Considering his injury. See links

I have a soft spot for Max Domi
Still wouldnt have him back

MTL needs to build forward
With Hamilton and Petry on this roster
Grabbing Pk Subban has no upside as he will be playing a minimal role like Merril/Gustafsson for 4.5m?

Not a good deal

I'd rather sign someone as its cheaper and they'll likely be more effective.
PK's speed was his entire game ,thats gone now completely.
He really should have focused on being a 200ft player
He'd still have a career worth a darn if he did
But he chose not to , that's on him

Aside from that paying Hall almost what Landeskog would cost is bizarre.
Landeskog vs Hall the stats arent even close
Landeskog is superior in all 3 zones and is a leader and Captain since he was 19 with a ton of playoff experience.
Hall is known for being on the most teams that landed the #1 OA pick not playoff success

To my knowledge there has never been an actual report that his teammates disliked him. He seemed pretty tight with them.

Management and the media hated him because he had too much personality for hockey.

Cherry complained that his high five with Carey Price was too elaborate...

Subban had issues with coaching staff, Plekanec, Gallagher and Pacioretty. He got in multiple fights with the three players during camp or warmups and he got into ALOT of arguments with the coach about his coaching style and techniques

PK can still play. Accept him for what he is today & you have a solid defenseman. Second pair on a playoff squad, maybe ... third pair, absolutely. Whether he's a good fit or not is sure to be a challenging topic, but he can still make a positive contribution on the ice.

Hasn't been anything like that in NJ.
Not sure how it all went down in Montreal, but he has been positive influence off-the-ice for NJ.

Agree with this 100%. He was made a scapegoat for the team's lack of success, but everything I've heard from his former teammates like Weise is that everyone loved him.

I guess he really grew into his role here as leader.
It’s kinda weird, because we never really saw that side of him.

He has always been generous with his time - whether for non-profits or interviews.
