Description
They aren't going to be in Jones, Hamilton, Hall or any of the big fish. There isn't the salary cap room within reason to break the bank and no team is going to take on our cast-offs just for the heck of it.

MIN would decline. Kerfoot is a solid player but we’re cap crunched as well, so perfectly happy to keep Hartman and his discount contract.

Engvall is a waiver wire bum. No one is paying for your trash by giving you an asset for him, especially when they can get him for free.

Waiver wire bum? He would be the tied in fourth highest goal scoring forward with the Sabres . No bad for 4th liner, at 1.2m. Seven goal players cost the Sabres 9m

Those seven goals are certainly prorated because you played in the easiest division possible last season. You would’ve had a harder time scoring goals in any other division. He’s a bum who takes stupid penalties, that’s why you want to get rid of him. Buffalo can call up anyone in their minor-league system who could do anything he’s doing. Besides, when no one wants to trade for him you’ll waive him and whoever wants him can get him for free.

Wild aren't trading Ryan Hartman. Kerfoot isn't an update.

Cheaper cap for Ryan Hartman,, & better player

Ryan Hartman just signed a very team friendly 3 years extension starting next season

Why is being waived? He's a competent 4th line centre and winger. Of course there are lots of those players in the league, on many teams. But geez on the Sabres he would be getting into every game and having more minutes as he can easily replace some of the current Sabres.

Buffalo does not need to pay anyone for a fourth line plug. Players like that are a dime a dozen. Every minor league system has more than a few of them. Toronto would waive him if they intended to replace him with someone else and see no reason to waste a roster spot.

So it's a 3rd for Kerfoot, and MN gives Hartman away for free? Wild pass.

I don’t get why people think Engvall is useless he’s fine for a team like Buffalo who could use a guy with NHL Experience on the bottom 6.

I’d rather give the ice time to Brett Murray. I expect that’s what they’ll do instead.

He just has no value to another team.

Every organization has bottom 6 options, younger cheaper, and just as much experience or with higher upside that the organization would much rather give PT too. Let alone trade an asset for Engvall.

The Pens have Angello(25), Zohorna(25), Lafferty(26), OConnor(22), all cheaper, younger, just as much experience and cant break into the bottom 6 without an injury. Every organization has players just like that.

Engvall has very little if any value to another team. The same reason u are trying to trade him anyway and every Leafs fan is trying to trade him away for a 6th or 7th round pick.

If he’s that valuable, u wouldn’t be trying to convince everyone he is, or trade him away for a 6th round pick.

im not saying he has insane value im saying he can be useful on a teams 4th line and it dosent have to be pittsburgh and his contract can be buryied in the minors.
