Buffalo is going to want the 2023 first round pick as it will be a huge draft with both franchise players and depth of draft.

Parise kills any trade to BUF with his NMC. He still wants to play, but not for a bad team.

It's a bad trade for BUF anyways, they tie their own hands with Parise's awful contract (and a buyout is just as bad) for the next 4 years.

It's also not a good trade for MN because they are just a 1 center team if they give up JEE for Eichel. They need both of them if they want to compete. Adding Rossi on top leaves about nothing for top-6 (potential) centers in the prospect pool either.

Buffalo doesn’t plan on competing anytime soon. They can take on his contract with ease. It’s gonna be tough to get him to waive but the trade doesn’t happen without him. You can replace JEE with Boldy if you’d rather have him. Eichel is a top 10 center when healthy. Your team should have no problem making the postseason.

Values are a bit all over the map but a pretty good effort. The majority still do look like slight overpays.

NYR looks about right but unlikely they trade in the conference.

Vegas maybe a 1st heavy (but real close).

Columbus is an ugly package but about what they can do. Don't really see them having the right pieces to make sense.

And if need be I can take away one of the 1sts to make it happen.

eh the 23 draft is ok. Don't get me wrong it's better than the top of the Hughes draft, and maybe even last years.
But 22 is the year everyone wants 1st overall. You just don't find guys like Wright in the draft often. There is no need to over hype him like some of these other guys have been. He's had NHL skill since he was 15-16 years old.

I would rank them, from Buffalo side:

1. LAK (Kaliyev, Turcotte, Vilardi, Quick, 1st)
2. ANA (Comtois, Henrique, Perreault, Tracey, Terry, 1st)
3. COL (Newhook, Compher, Girard, 1st)
4. MIN (Rossi, Parrise, JEE, 1st, 1st)
5. CGY (Tkachuk, Mangiapane, 2nd)
6. CHI (Dach, Strome, Zadorov, 1st)
7. CBJ (Domi, Foudy, Merzlikins, 1st, 1st, 1st)
8. VGK (Glass, Krebs, Smith, 1st, 1st)
9. NYR (Kakko, Strome, Lundqvist, 1st)
10. PHI (Brink, Konecny, Patrick, York, 1st)

I think Vegas is the fairest and makes the most sense. Both of those picks will be in the 28-32 range......

How I would rank them:
1) COL - but they ain’t doing that.
2) LAK
3) CHI
4) MIN
5) PHI
6) NYR
7) ANA
8) CBJ
9) VGK
10) CGY - because there is no way Tkachuk signs their long term. He won’t willing go from the Flames into the dumpster fire.

uhhhhh , you're dead wrong.

Connor Bedard - exceptional status and future franchise player is on pace to break McDavid's points - This is a Connor McDavid type player.
Matvei Michkov from Russia is also a future franchise player who at 16 is breaking Russian records
The you have Adam Fantilli and Brayden Yager.

There is at least 4 Franchise type players in the 2023 draft making it as strong or stronger than the 2015 draft.

The 2022 draft is child's play to 2023 draft.

the term "Franchise player" is very over rated. Is Jack Hughes a franchise player?
Is Lafrenière a franchise player?
If they are we really haven't seen it yet.

I mean honestly. Wright is suppose to be a generational player. Now we don't know that for sure, because he hasn't got there yet. But he's probably the best player since Crosby to come out the draft.
That's saying a lot to considering McDavid and Matthews have both had great careers so far.

What I'm saying is Connor Bedard is better than Wright is right now at 15yrs old. Look up the stats, and did you see his performance at the world u18? Again he's 15! And i believe Michkov is better now than Wright is also. Again look at what he did at the tourney. Would I like my team to draft Wright, absolutely! But would I rather have either of the 2023 top 2, yes. Only time will tell.

And what I'm saying is, they aren't.

1st of all, both your other guys there project as wingers. Michkov is already a winger. Bedard is gonna project as winger due to his size.
He is maybe 5'9. That is already a huge blow to them value wise. Centers are way more valuable than wingers. No one has any doubt Wright is coming in as a C.
Unless Bedard finds some magic growth spirt he's gonna end up on a wing or dominated on the dot. Just go look at Jack Hughes and his 35% FO. That is honestly his most likely comparable.
The only reason he plays center at 15 is because the rest of the kids aren't that good. It's a different story at the NHL level.

You want to talk about Tourny, we don't have numbers to compare there.
If you want to compare them this year, Wright was by far the best player on team canada in the 5 games he played. Period. That's a horrible argument for your point. He stepped on the ice after not playing hockey all year and dominated.
As for the Russian kid, we'll see. Again there really is no apples to apples comparison here. But he's a winger.

Wright didn't play but 5 games of hockey last year due to the third Reich of canada not allowing kids to play hockey so you're never really going to have much of a comparable here. Everything will be skewed.
But everyone who watched and covered that u18 team said Wright was by far the best player on it. It wouldn't have mattered if Bedard was a year older or not.
