@EsoYeezus69 so how happy would you be if Comeau ended up in Seattle after all. Because when you think about it he's probably going in there, strictly because all other prospects like Mascherin, Caamano and L'Esperance are not waiver exempt, and none of them isn't exactly NHL ready. That'd mean Comeau (or Sekera) are the only actual NHL players available.

Wishful thinking maybe but we might be onto something big here regarding Wednesday.

I love to chat sh*t sometimes, but with this I really looked at the chances and they’re substantially big. I love to hate on Comeau, but he’s miles better than Sekera. Francis built the Canes on analytics, and Comeau has a half decent card when it comes to defence, and I can’t think on the top of my head if there’s a lot of defensive forwards available with the experience that he has. He’s already been to the finals and has apparently he’s a great locker room presence, so he could help the younger players adjust to being moved because he’s experienced being moved from team to team a lot in his long career. Other choices are those you mentioned who will not make the main roster and will probably get picked up on waivers and Bishop who’s literally glass, and was waived for a reason (maybe a bluff by Nill, but even so there’s a lot of options on goalie who’d be better than Bishop like Price, Driedger, KK and VV).

By all means am I not trying to compliment or bring down Comeau, I’m just trying to be 100% honest.

Edit: if it happens I’m probably going to wake up the entire neighborhood from being way too loud, it’ll probably be the loudest I’ve been since that Kiviranta shenanigan last year.

With the current Montreal housing situation, that would make sense. maybe he's got a deal in place for 5.5 for 5 and just wants to get on the sellers market before its official. Houses have been going for 20-30% more than what they're worth right now

FWIW, for those pondering the idea of Seattle selecting Price only to trade him back to Montréal, the Habs throwing picks/assets at Seattle for the Kraken to retain salary, etc: the NHL has informed both clubs that is a total no-go. League considers that a clear circumvention.
