Here’s a better example. Last year, the Blues agreed to a contract with Mike Hoffman, but he played on a PTO through training camp until it was officially signed. This was so the Blues could place Steen and Tarasenko on LTIR before he signed. That is exactly what Seattle did. Agreed to a contract with a UFA, then signed it a few days later to benefit their team. Which I see nothing wrong with. But if you have a problem with Seattle doing this, then you have a problem with St. Louis as well.



You need A LOT of work on your equivalencies, buddy. This is not even remotely a similar situation. These two situations are not in the same galaxy. At all.

Seravelli is quite hit and miss. He often reports something as done, and then it does not happen (which never comes up again, of course). Friedman is pretty good, but he is waaaay too eager to jump on the fiction posted by some random blog clown and then quickly, conveniently "forgets" he ever passed it along as genuine info.
